Boxes of Love, Ltd, (BOL) supplies foreign nationals with hospital equipment, medical and school supplies, toys, and clothing. Once physical needs are met, volunteers are better able to touch people's hearts with God's love and hope.
Who We Are
BOL is a not for profit (501c-3) organization. It is run on all volunteer help, with no one receiving a salary. Donated funds go directly toward the packing, shipping, and delivery of the gifts. In 2003, BOL shipped 35 tons of gifts to Ukraine, Belarus, Food for the Poor, Samaritan's Purse, Haiti, Rwanda, some items were carried overseas by travelers to be shared, and local needs were met in our community.
BOL was founded in 2000 to provide a unique solution to the 
problem areas with great economic hardships and needs, with the intention of the gifts going directly to those in need with the Gospel by national workers.
BOL staff travels frequently overseas to be assured that the gifts are being distributed to those in need, and to carry the Gospel. We also check to see if items need to be added or removed that are no longer needed. This helps with the accountability of those receiving gifts for distribution.
For shipping by box to Ukraine and Belarus, we use a Ukrainian shipping company. They deliver boxes directly to the intended recipients, assuring our donors of safe arrival. Sea containers are shipped with Food for the Poor to the Caribbean and Central America. Samaritan's Purse items are shipped by box to the warehouse in South Carolina. Rwanda Bibles are shipped by mail in envelopes.

The following is a list of current needs we are looking for, but please be sure that all the items you may collect or bring are clean, washed and mended AND have wear for at least a season or two! We pay for shipping and thus it needs to be worth shipping and ready to wear on the receiving end! Thank you.
Clean clothes : All sizes from infant to adult extra large
Underwear and socks are a continuing need for all sizes
Shoes, boots, slippers : Used are fine if cleaned, dress shoes for the staff or teachers
Linens : sheets, blankets, pillow cases, mattress pads, waterproof pads, spreads, towels, wash cloths, dish towels, NO PILLOWS
Waterproof material : Used for beds, they like the heavy material or shower curtains, plastic table cloths etc.
Drapes : Any kind, they are remodeled into a variety of items
Personal care items : Toothbrushes, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, shaving cream, razors, pads for the girls, lotion, combs, brushes, etc
Small draw string bags : May be made from any fabric size about 5-9" long and 5-7" wide with draw string.these are used to give gifts to children and staff.always a HUGE need
School supplies : Pencils, pens, notebooks, stickers, crayons, markers, glue, tape, scissors, pictures from calendars, books with little English and pictures, colored paper, ribbons, etc.craft items for school, and school bags
Toys : Educational bright colored toys for learning disabilities i.e. Legos, Lincoln logs, puzzles, animals, cars, dolls, pull toys, musical toys, dressing dolls, riding toys, etc.
Tools : Specialized School has asked for wood working tools for the boy's new class. Hand tools may be used.
Musical instrument : Pastor Andrew has asked for any musical instrument broken or working. He will fix!
Diapers : a constant need for the Pliskov nursery school size from 8 pounds up
Disposable adult diapers are needed for the handicapped adults
Sewing supplies : buttons, zippers, thread, embroidery floss, pins, marking pens, Fabric ~ in yard or larger amounts, lace, trims, scissors, other supplies
Knitting : Needles, hooks, hoops, yarn, and thread, anything to work with
Beads and craft supplies of all kinds, silk flowers,
Window stickers : decorations to use for the holidays
Therapy equipment : Balls, exercise items, protective equipment, mats etc.
Medical supplies of all kinds are a continuing need, especially gloves
Bibles for Rwanda, in english, good repair, christian education material for Pastor Andrew
Items not accepted : battery operated toys, war toys of any sort, pillows, toys that do not have all the parts, camouflage clothing, beer, liquor, or other bar advertising on shirts, no halloween items.(back to top)
